Named Best Summer Camp For Second Year in a Row
For another year, Sierra Nevada Journeys has been honored as “Best Summer Camp” in the Best of Sierra Nevada awards by the Las Vegas Review-Journal, a recognition that reflects the unforgettable experiences, lifelong friendships, and outdoor adventures that campers enjoy each summer.
Since opening overnight summer camp in 2008, Sierra Nevada Journeys has welcomed thousands of campers to discover the joy of exploring the outdoors while building confidence, independence, and resilience. Every week at camp is filled with classic summer traditions alongside hands-on STEM learning, creating an experience that is both fun and meaningful.
Campers spend their days kayaking, hiking scenic trails, conquering the high ropes course, and climbing the 50-foot Alpine Tower. They investigate the natural world with expert outdoor educators, gaze at the stars during evening astronomy programs, and gather around the campfire to share stories, songs, and memories that last long after summer ends.
