Jump into the fun with our summer day camp, where campers can experience all the adventure and enjoyment of a Sierra Nevada Journeys program in a day camp setting. We offer eight weeks of STEM-based day camp programs for children ages 5–12, entering kindergarten in the fall of 2026. (Must be potty-trained.)
Day Camp is held at Sacramento Valley Conservancy’s Camp Pollock, 1501 Northgate Blvd., Sacramento, CA. While many of our activities take place outdoors, we also have access to the air-conditioned lodge at Camp Pollock. We plan to use the lodge regularly in the afternoons and whenever temperatures become too high for safe or comfortable extended time outside.
Our team of talented educators and camp counselors lead campers through a combination of daily themed STEM activities, nature exploration, daily water play, and campers’ choice. In addition to traditional camp activities, each week of camp focuses on a specific theme. Our low camper-to-staff ratio and small groups allow for the perfect combination of group instruction and personal attention.

*Camp is closed on Friday, June 19, in observance of Juneteenth and Friday, July 3, for the 4th of July Holiday.
Things to Know
Each week, camp focuses on a different theme.
Camp runs Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 pm, and we’ve got you covered with aftercare (3:30-5:00 pm).
Camp takes place outdoors under shaded pergolas; please make sure your child wears weather-appropriate clothes, sunscreen, a hat, and sturdy shoes.
Daily schedule:
8:00 - 8:15 am: Drop Off
8:15 am to 3:15 pm: Camp Activities
3:15 - 3:30 pm: Pick Up
3:30 - 5 pm: Aftercare (Mondays - Thursdays; not available on Fridays)
Price
Camp Protection Insurance: You can purchase Camp Protection Insurance for $50 per camper, per session. All camp fees are non-refundable unless Camp Protection Insurance is purchased at the time of registration.
2026: $345 per week and $50 per week for aftercare (offered Monday through Thursday, not available on Fridays). For camps held during the weeks of the Juneteenth and Fourth of July holidays, the weekly rate is $265 for a four-day camp. Families are responsible for providing a morning snack and a sack lunch for their day camper. Water stations are on site.
The price of $345 includes a $50 discount for Early Bird Registration/Introductory Offer for Sacramento families, which is applied at check-out.
A deposit of $75 per child is due at the time of registration, and the balance due for all sessions is May 1, 2026.
