Melissa Fisher-Tsouris
Advancement Assistant
Melissa is a member of the Advancement team at Sierra Nevada Journeys, where she supports fundraising efforts through donor stewardship, grant research, database management, and community engagement. After spending many years raising her family, Melissa transitioned into the nonprofit sector, bringing organizational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for helping young people connect with nature and science.
Melissa is dedicated to building meaningful relationships with donors and supporters who help make outdoor science education accessible to thousands of students each year. She is inspired by Sierra Nevada Journeys' mission to foster curiosity, critical thinking, and environmental stewardship in the next generation.
Outside of work, Melissa enjoys creating abstract art, practicing yoga, spending time with her family, and exploring the beauty of Northern Nevada.
