CAMP CLASSICS EXPANDED TO FIVE WEEKS!
We’ve added more weeks for you to choose from of our most popular camp.
We’ve expanded our most popular theme, Camp Classics; now, you have five different weeks to choose from in addition to two themed camp weeks. Campers participate in all the classic camp activities such as archery, kayaking, swimming, arts and crafts and Grizzly Creek Ranch’s unique challenge course. Also, we have camper’s choice where the kids get to choose which activities they enjoy most and have extra time with doing the things they love.
For teens, summer camp occurs during the same weeks as the 8 to 13-year-old-campers, but with programming based on the input received from our teen campers at the Teen Reunion held this past fall.

CABINS AND YURTS
Campers will be sleeping in either cabins or yurts. The youngest campers will be staying in cabins and our oldest campers (regardless of gender but separated by male and female) could be staying in yurts for some sessions. Families will be notified a week in advance if their camper is staying in a yurt. The only significant difference between cabins and yurts are that the walls are sturdy canvas rather than wood/cement, and the bathrooms (portable restrooms) are a short walk away from the yurts, rather than inside. Yurt campers still have access to hot-water showers and flush toilets in the nearest building (less than 80 yards away).
AMERICAN CAMP ASSOCIATION ACCREDITED
Sierra Nevada Journeys' Grizzly Creek Ranch is a member of the American Camp Association. This means we have demonstrated compliance with health, safety, and program quality standards. These standards establish criteria for program, personnel, transportation, administrative procedures, health care, food service, program activities, and emergency procedures. Accreditation assures parents and campers that Grizzly Creek Ranch has been measured against national standards for best practices in the camping industry.
As camps fill, we have a waitlist. You will go through the registration process and although your credit card information is collected, the deposit is NOT charged. If a slot opens up, the Summer & Specialty Camps Manager will call waitlisted campers in the order in which they signed up. At that time, you may choose to accept or refuse the slot. We encourage you to sign up for an alternate camp, if possible. If your waitlisted camp becomes available, all payments to date will be applied toward the waitlist camp if you decide to transfer.
A deposit of $150.00 is required to secure your reservations for Summer Camp 2019. Deposits are non-refundable. Cancellations posted prior to the summer camp payment deadline of June 1, 2019, will receive a refund of all camp fees paid to date, minus the deposit amount. Payment is due in full by June 1, 2019; if your account is not paid in full by that date, your credit card on file will be charged or your reservation will be cancelled and you will lose your deposit. Partial refunds may apply to cancellations made after the payment deadline, but before the camp start date depending upon the circumstances involved, the proximity to the start date and at the judgment of Sierra Nevada Journeys. No refunds will be made for cancellations made within 72 hours of the camp start date. Cancellations made during camp are subject to a complete loss of fees dependent upon the reasons for leaving camp early and at the judgment of Sierra Nevada Journeys. No refunds for dismissals from camp resulting from behavior-related or criminal actions. Refunds are not available for loss of programming, changes to programming made to accommodate weather conditions, or for other factors outside our control. On or before June 1, 2019, you may transfer to another 2019 camp if a slot is available. At the end of your child’s summer camp session, please consider donating any unused Camp Store funds to Sierra Nevada Journeys’ financial aid program to help support children from low-income households attend camp.
