Each year, Sierra Nevada Journeys hosts Family Camps over Labor Day weekend. We look forward to seeing you and your family and enjoying the outdoors in a safe and family-friendly environment.
Do you have fond memories of summer camp as a child or did your kids come home from Sierra Nevada Journeys summer camp with stories of campfires and fun? Then, family camp is your opportunity to reconnect and spend time enjoying the outdoors with your friends and family while engaging in fun activities.
Our Camp and its magnificent vistas, valleys, and meadows are the perfect setting for you to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and be a kid again! We’ll have a variety of planned activities throughout the day for all ages and skill levels.
Activities for All Ages and Abilities
Plan on getting in some hikes, kayaking, archery and low ropes course. Also, enjoy playing basketball or gaga ball with your kids on our various ball courts or group games on the lawn. Science activities include launching objects from our giant slingshot (physics); taking a hike in nature and and making nature observations (forest ecology); and scaling the alpine tower (forces and friction).
PRICING FOR FAMILY CAMP
The pricing structure covers the basic expenses of operating Family Camp and is a great weekend getaway for you and your family. The experience is like summer camp for the entire family. Meals, accommodations in our village cabins and activities are included in the prices below.
Each cabin is $2,700 per cabin for 3 nights and 4 days over Labor Day weekend. The price includes exclusive use of your cabin for up to 12 people. A deposit of $540 will be secured at the time of registration.
ALL MEALS INCLUDED
Includes eight meals from Friday evening to Monday morning for Labor Day weekend. Our chef is planning grab n’ go breakfast burritos, picnic-style lunches and evening barbecues where you can take your meals back to your private picnic table at your cabin.
ACCOMMODATIONS
Your cabin is exclusive use for your family; they are bunkbed-style sleeping quarters and each has a private restroom.
ENGAGING OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES (OUR SPECIALTY)
It includes our staff leading your selected activities — throughout the day and evening — such as kayaking, archery and group games. Your days will be filled with organized activities as well as time on your own to play on our various courts (basketball, volleyball, gaga, 9 in the air). Sierra Nevada Journeys’ instructors lead group games that are fun for the entire family.
The experience is quality family time connecting with your children. We handle all the logistics so you get to enjoy a stress-free weekend outdoors.
You can invite your friends and extended family to enjoy Family Camp with you in order to fill your cabin with a capacity of up to 12 people.
