Afterschool and Summer Camp Manager
Izzy was born and raised in Fallon, Nevada and moved to Reno in 2017 to attend the University of Nevada, Reno. She graduated with three bachelor's degrees, one of which was in education, while also working at The Terry Lee Wells Nevada Discovery Museum and Washoe County School District throughout her undergraduate career. Focusing on her passion for education, Izzy moved to the Bay Area after college to pursue a career in community engagement and further her experience in the nonprofit world. Working at the California Academy of Sciences and The Lawrence Hall of Science, UC Berkeley, she gained extensive professional experience and was presented with opportunities that solidified her goals of providing equitable and accessible STEM education. Now back in Nevada and working at Sierra Nevada Journeys, she is grateful to serve the Greater Reno community.
If not at work, you can find her behind a pottery wheel, on a sports field coaching, or on a hike with her partner and two pups.
