Science Educator
Alex is a Science Educator with Sierra Nevada Journeys teaching students in Northern Nevada. They were born and raised in Las Vegas and moved to Reno for college, where they graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Before joining Sierra Nevada Journeys, Alex worked at various museums and libraries in Reno.
Alex’s interests include travel, rock climbing, and making over-the-top journal spreads. They played music throughout their childhood, and still enjoy a jam session, but you're more likely to find Alex with a good book. (Definitely ask Alex for some book recommendations!) They also are huge into cooking and baking, and making yummy treats for friends and colleagues.
