Outdoor Program Instructor
Hi! My name is Zoe, and I’m part of the Outdoor Program Instructor team. I’m from a beautiful little island in the Caribbean called St. Croix; it’s one of the three U.S. Virgin Islands. I have sailed sunfish on the Caribbean Sea and Lake Erie, eaten paella in Spain and Puerto Rico, and danced barefoot in 13 U.S. states. Growing up I was a ballerina but now I’m an aspiring yogi who loves being near any body of water, especially collecting rocks or seashells. I’m an only child, but my parents have two small dogs named Kevin and Charlie that might as well be my little brothers. Some things that help fill my cup and light up my soul: live music, sunsets, being barefoot in the grass, and seeing other people’s passions. I found my love for dance parties while working at YMCA Camp Fitch in Pennsylvania, and I am fortunate to have felt so much summer camp magic in my life. If I could give one gift to everyone else on Earth, it would be gratitude for the natural world. My favorite feeling is sharing a smile with someone and my motto is “when in doubt, dance it out.” It’s hard not to smile when you’re wiggling to some tunes. I am stoked to meet new friends and learn some new dance moves with you!
