Residential Outdoor Science Instructor
Rosie Jun Cohen grew up in Massachusetts where the variety of the four seasons has always drawn her outside in all types of weather. She is a recent graduate of the University of Vermont where she majored in Environmental Studies. She is very excited to be working with Sierra Nevada Journeys.
During college, she embarked on a backpacking semester in the Rocky Mountains and she has wanted to return to the West ever since. In the spring of 2016, she participated in the design and launch of an outdoor nature education program for urban students in her community. After this experience, she spent a semester teaching environmental studies to a group of college students as a Teaching Assistant. Most recently, she worked as the Education Coordinator at a suburban farm in Massachusetts, where she led farm education programs for youth ages K through 8.
She loves hiking, swimming, landscape painting, exploring, and making new friends!
