Brittney Gandy-Knox, PHD, MPH

Development Director

Dr. Brittney Gandy is a resident of Elk Grove, California and is originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico. Growing up with a passion for STEM, she has always been drawn to Math and Science and has had a love for teaching and mentoring. Pursuing her love for STEM, Brittney obtained a bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences and Mathematics, a master’s degree in Public Health, and a Doctorate in Business and Leadership. She’s been published for her research in biology and led a number of Science and Health Equity programs throughout the State of California. Additionally, she has tutored and taught STEM to students from elementary to the college level for 22 years, and has been a proud partner with many nonprofit organizations and leadership programs. Dr.Gandy not only has a passion for youth and STEM, but also a sincere dedication to equity, and quality improvement and development. She’s excited to be a part of the Sierra Nevada Journeys’ development and fundraising team, and she looks forward to contributing to the mission and making an impact with future scientists and environmental stewards.
