Science Educator
Maddie is a motivated outdoor enthusiast and educator. She was raised in Davis, California where she was first introduced to outdoor education and animal science in school. She graduated from the University of California Santa Cruz with a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies. In college, she explored her excitement for biology and marine science as a research assistant working with pinnipeds— fin- or flipper-footed marine mammals. As an educator, she has worked previously as a garden student intern and a backpacking guide at summer camps. Outside of work, Maddie enjoys cross-country skiing, crocheting, backpacking, and especially exploring alpine lakes.
