Expeditor and Prep Cook
Roselyn is an Expeditor and Prep Cook at camp. She graduated from Highlands High School in Sacramento California, and started working straight out of high school. Roselyn’s first job was at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom in Vallejo, California as an Explorer Guide working in the animal department. She loved teaching all the kids and even adults about all the animals that were there at the park and watching their faces light up at the sight of seeing these animals. She grew up in Sacramento and moved to Portola, California in 2013. At Sierra Nevada Journeys, she saw an opportunity to teach children about the Sierra Nevada region and Lassen National Forest – places that she loved since moving to the area. Working in the kitchen, she’s able to watch the children play and have fun. Roselyn enjoys seeing their faces light up every time they hear about dessert. She has found her home away from home at Sierra Nevada Journeys by combining her love for cooking, animals and nature.
