Meg Van Dyke

Outdoor Program Instructor

My name is Meg and I’m an Outdoor Program Instructor with Sierra Nevada Journeys. I grew up in the temperate rainforests of western Washington and then swapped the Puget Sound for the Great Lakes when I moved to southwest Michigan for college. I graduated with a degree in Environmental Studies where I focused on outdoor education as a catalyst for social justice and land-based social movements.

Outside of being outside, my other interests include dessert, regional varieties of squirrels, trying really hard not to shave my head again, befriending other people’s pets, learning how to (badly) play guitar, learning how to (even more badly) play the harmonica, making elaborate planner spreads, astrology, snail mail, and rescuing worms from sidewalk puddles after it rains. See you around!
