Dedicated to health and athletic endeavors, Davis founded and produced the first-ever, all women's bike ride across the country for breast cancer, Pedal for the Cure/America’s Breast Cancer Ride, and personally cycled in the event three times. In addition to saving lives through breast cancer awareness and education, here she was recognized twice with the “Mark of Excellence” Award from the National Public Relations Society of America. Also notable, is many years as a teacher in high schools and colleges and more than 20 years, intermittently, with Outward Bound and various outdoor education programs.
