Join Sierra Nevada Journeys for the weekend at our inaugural Mom & Me Retreat at Grizzly Creek Ranch. This unique event is for moms or mom role models, along with their son or daughter, to spend quality time together. Led by our Science Instructors, you’ll participate in our camp activities like testing your skills on the challenge course, hiking in nature or doing an arts and craft project together. Wind down in the evening by the campfire, attend movie night or DIY spa night. On Mother’s Day, a special brunch is planned. The retreat on Sunday concludes by 11 a.m. allowing time for the rest of Mother’s Day on your own.
This camp is open to anyone new to Sierra Nevada Journeys and returning campers. Programming is planned for one female adult to be paired with their child, male or female, who is kindergarten to eighth grade school level. As the inaugural year, it is one to one ratio of one adult female to one child. We understand that families come in all different shapes and sizes; therefore, we offer a variety of specialty camps and retreats throughout the year. Please contact our Summer & Specialty Camp Manager at 775-560-6218 or firstname.lastname@example.org to learn about what camp may be best suited for you or your child.
Accommodations are modern cabins with approximately 12 people in each cabin and private restrooms. Showers are located within each cabin village. Families will be paired with similar genders; for example, moms with sons will be grouped together for cabin assignments. Daily activities will be dependent on what activities you choose to do; some are in small groups or there are times where all campers are together.
This weekend getaway will leave you and your child having a new connection with nature and with each other.
