Summit Camp:
Does summer make you think of hanging out with your friends, playing games, and soaking up the sun? Summit Camp is a fun-packed week of all this and more! If you like to climb, challenge yourself to climb our 40-foot tall Alpine Tower. If you prefer to have two feet on the ground, take a beautiful hike through mountains and meadows, try shooting a bow and arrow, splashing around in the swimming pool, or playing Capture the Flag with your buddies.
Unfortunately, due to infastructure upgrades we have had to cancel Summit Camp Session Four.

Adventure Day Camp:
If you want the summer camp experience without staying overnight, Adventure Day Camp is the perfect fit! Enjoy full days of swimming, climbing, arts & crafts, and playing field games at Sierra Nevada Journeys’ Grizzly Creek Ranch Campus.
$99 per week ages 7-14

Backcountry Leadership Program:
Through this 6 day guided outdoor adventure, you will explore mountains, vistas, and valleys while meeting new friends and learning backcountry survival skills. Put on your hiking boots and get ready to hike, build shelters, use a map and compass, and sample backcountry cuisine.

Sierra Nevada Journeys, Tahoe Rim Trail Association, and Tahoe Institue of Natural Science Backcountry Partnership
We are once again partnering with the Tahoe Rim Trail Association and Tahoe Institute for Natural Science to offer Youth Backcountry Camps (YBCC) for junior high and high school age students in the Tahoe basin. In the same spirit of Sierra Nevada Journeys Youth Leadership Backcountry programs we work with Tahoe Rim Trail Association and Tahoe Institute of Natural Science staff by providing an opportunity for youth to get outdoors with their peers and learn leadership, backcountry skills, and trail building. These camps are designed for youth with little or no experience living, working and traveling in the backcountry, or for those who want a fun service-learning trip on the Tahoe Rim Trail. The (YBCC) program will take place along the Tahoe Rim Trail at locations TBD. Expect to be hiking between 2 and 7 miles per day. Camps are limited to 10 – 12 participants per session. The programs are fully supported by well-trained TRTA, TINS and SNJ staff; and all food, camping gear, permits and transportation to and from the trailheads are provided. Participants only need to provide shoes, clothes and a passion for the outdoors! High Sierra Survival Camp (New!)
Come spend a week in the wild with Sierra Nevada Journeys learning fundamental survival skills. Learn to track animals, build a shelter, find food and water, and use a map and compass. This 6-day program serves as a platform for those wanting to develop a deeper connection with the natural world. Join us, and investigate the Sierra Nevada mountains with safe and experienced instructors. Come take the challenge!

Explorer Day Camp
Explorer Day Camp is our only Reno-based summer program. Travel to a different, breathtaking location everyday in the Reno/Tahoe region from the Sierra Foothills to the Truckee River. Whether you are new to the outdoors or a seasoned veteran, you will be making amazing discoveries and exploring local trails during this jam-packed week of fun and adventure!
$249 ages 8-13

Family Camp
Kick back and enjoy time with your loved ones while Grizzly Creek Ranch Campus staff cook for you and entertain you! Families will stay in one of our 12 modern cabins, each sleeping up to 12 people, with bathrooms, heating, air conditioning, and easy access to showers and laundry. Activities include kayaking, ropes course, archery, hiking, fishing, arts & crafts, swimming and much more!
Dates: August 31-September 3
Cost:
$350 for a 2-night stay for 2 people, meals, on-site activities
$450 for a 3-night stay for 2 people, meals, on-site activities
$30 per night for each additional adult
$25 per night for each additional child (4-16 years old)
