Wow Factor: Summit Camp Update!

Yesterday was a full day on the challenge course including a night program where we pretended we were lost and needed to spend the night outside. What are the basic needs that all living things need to survive?  Campers were challenged to come up with basic survival answers that included water, food and shelter.  Monday night consisted of finding water for hydration, apple trees for nutrition and shelter where students built forts and explored the forest.  The morning breakfast crew presented the campers with hot chocolate and the world’s largest pancake!  Three boys proceeded to finish off the pancake in order to get ready for a full day of kayaking, hiking, and archery.  The outdoors provided an amazing environment for the campers to learn and explore:  Campers could be heard proclaiming “WOW!! Come look at this!” which resulted in a stampede of students running around.  The next question remains: what will we see tomorrow?!
